FLR Training For Women Course REVIEWS
Our July 2015 Female Led Relationship Training Class is now officially over! Of the 4 students who participated, 3 submitted feedback on the course. Here are their unedited reviews along with my responses.
What do you believe was the biggest benefit of participating?
Student 1: Having had to reflect and write about my perspectives and being exposed to other women’s experiences who also are interested in FLR
Student 2: Having the opportunity to meet other women in similar circumstances and learning about the diversity of leadership and authority styles – which allowed me to see that I can design my FLR anyway that serves me best.
Student 3: Meeting other women who are traveling the same road and want the same thing in their relationship. To be able to talk and share about this kind of lifestyle.
Please share the most important lesson you learned during the course.
Student 1: Among the most illuminating thing I learned is the different dominant styles. it was great to learn that I am a classy, dainty dominant and that I don’t have to be a brutal in order to have a FLR.
Student 2: I loved learning about the different dominant and submissive styles, which helped me self-identify and identify my sub. This really helped me understand what drives both of us so that I can fuel our relationship without being led by my sub, and to embrace what I want most out of the relationship. I also loved the instructions on how to test a man’s submission from the beginning – set a limit and ask him to do something. It is so clear and I wish I had started that way when my relationship had begun.
Student 3: When I learned about the authority types and the different styles of being a FLR woman.
What was your biggest challenge while participating in the course?
Student 1: Trying to learn to use FaceBook and not mess up. LOL
Student 2: Concerns with privacy and sharing such intimate details when I was easily identified by my name on Facebook, and having recorded conversations out there on the Internet. I know the data will be erased, but I felt vulnerable (and I don’t like feeling vulnerable). I think I would have participated even more fully if I had the opportunity to choose a different name.
Queenie: The weekly LIVE TALKS are recorded for the benefit of students who happen to miss the class. All students are made aware of these recordings. During the discussions, students will be called upon by the first name they offer during registration. All recordings are stored online privately and offered upon request. I respect every student’s privacy concerns.
Student 3: Finding the time to do so much writing.
Is there anything you think could be changed to make this course better?
Student 1: Hand outs with the transcripts of the videos, because the Fedora system doesn’t work well and the videos stop in the middle over and over. Having to log out and log in so many times over and over just to watch a 13 minute video is a hassle and a frustration. By having a transcript pdf at least I could read the content and get my writing assignments done in a timely manner without so much hassle.Plus it is good to have hand-outs for visual learners.
Queenie: No one else had this problem with the videos. Taking your own notes would be more effective.
Student 2: I appreciate your holding us accountable for our assignments, but the tone was often punitive rather than encouraging with incentives, which had the effect of making me feel in a dominant relationship with my instructor, which was not as effective with me.
Queenie: I will continue to score student participation and post the scores to model the type of accountability a Goddess should implement with her partner.
Student 3: I think that the course could be a little longer. Say 6 weeks, because we just got started and after the talk with Miss Ivey, I felt there were still unanswered questions. Maybe more guest speakers. More detail on how to make this lifestyle work in the real world, day by day!!!!!
Queenie: When you miss more than one of our weekly LIVE TALKS where I ask if you have any questions and you do not attend your personal One on One coaching session, you will definitely have lots of questions.  You get the opportunity to chat with me PRIVATELY to answer any questions you may have. As promised at the beginning of the course, if you have any questions, I guarantee that I will deliver an answer. I can not answer questions that you do not ask.
What did you think of the guest speakers?
Student 1: Loved Miss Ivey. Could have listened to her forever.
Student 2: They were fascinating. I had read Mistress Ivey’s book about setting up an FLR, so it was fabulous hearing directly from her.
Student 3: They were all Great! I especially loved Mistress Ivey.
What was it like to work with the instructor Queenie during this training program?
Student 1: Queenie was fun and funny.
Queenie: It was fun for me to engage with you.
Student 2: I think Queenie was very effective and knowledgeable, and I love her energy. She modeled how to exert your dominance, which helped me very much. Though I was quite surprised to discover that she has never had an FLR.
Queenie: I study FLR academically from personal interviews with couples in D/s and FLR relationships. I do not get my information from books or websites. I offer a fresh perspective directly from the sources who are actively involved. Teaching this course is my FLR.
Student 3: It was like having a strict school teacher, not all that pleasant. At the same time, I greatly appreciate Queenie’s dedication, reliability and wisdom. I also appreciate how well organized and structure the content is. During our personal call, I could feel Queenie’s heart and that is important to me, because as student I need to feel the support and understanding of my teacher.
Queenie: I may be a bit rigid, but I truly want to see women flourish into Goddesses and I will work overtime during this course to ensure that you are fully supported and gain value during your interaction with me.
It was extremely challenging managing so many different personalities, attempting to offer guidance for so many different relationship issues and maintaining my own standards for communication as well. I am proud of the effort we all put forth to complete this together and I am excited to meet the new class of women who are eager to grow as Goddesses in their Female Led Relationships.
