Ariel Detergent Asks Dads to #ShareTheLoad
This Ariel detergent commercial is heartbreaking but it teaches us an important lesson about why we need to be more open about supporting FLRs.
In this commercial, an elderly father watches his daughter multi-tasking around the house. She is taking care of him, her child, her husband, her home and her own business. On the surface we would celebrate a woman who can handle all of these tasks but as the father watches her spinning from task to task while her husband sits comfortably in front of his laptop, he feels as though he failed as a father.
Why?
He realizes that through his laziness in his own household when he was growing up his daughter watched her mother take care of everything so she expected the same from her husband and ACCEPTED the same from her husband.
Why can’t Dads share the load of responsibility in the household?
This is the question Ariel detergent asks using the hashtag #ShareTheLoad.
Send a tweet to Ariel to let them know you appreciate the commercial.
World’s best dad for setting the example of #sharetheload. Glad to spread this message with @arielindia pic.twitter.com/oda01wIhBW

How will your household be run differently so that your daughter will not expect to be the primary force in her household?
That was a well done and potent message. Thanks for sharing!
