Complete Honesty In a FLR Is Our Greatest Treasure
My wonderful Lady stresses to me the importance of total honesty if we are to regard ourselves as truly living and thriving in a special relationship based upon her accepting the huge responsibility of being my leader and my primary educator. I keep nothing from her. If she questions me, I answer truthfully – always. She cannot hope to successfully guide me through life with her feminine wisdom if I am being evasive, deceptive, telling her half-truths or outright lies.
One of the lovely things about a FLR, which maybe sets it apart from some other kinds of relationships, is that it can really only work if there is complete 2-way honesty (or, in our case, 3-way). If one of the partners is any way untrue, it’s questionable whether they’re really living a FLR. Ultimately it’s self-defeating and the relationship will come unstuck. I could tell a lie to my Lady today and it’s possible she would believe it. Maybe again tomorrow. Eventually I would drop straight into the very deep hole I’d dug for myself and there’d be very little point in her wasting her time to show me a way out of it. She has taught me that she can only lead me and show me the power of the Feminine Divine if I am open to her and lay my soul bare at her feet. That is my motivation and what I work towards daily.
It took great patience on my Lady’s part to lead me safely to a place where I could be absolutely open and honest with her. She alerted me to the fact early on that should my trust in her ever be less than a hundred per cent she wouldn’t be able to help me and we might as well say goodbye. It was clear that she could never abide a servant who tried to airbrush his thoughts and feelings from his intuitive Domina. It’s confronting at first. There was no point deceiving either her or myself. If, in her absence, I neglected to attend to one of her directives with proper diligence, I needed to reflect on that … and tell her. She matches her forgiveness with my eagerness to learn and improve.
I’d like to finish this short article by mentioning that it was my Lady’s idea for me to contribute something regarding our thoughts and philosophies on honesty within the structure of a FLR. She enjoys my writing, and my interest in male submission and service to the Goddess and all her earthly and spiritual powers, and she encourages me always to explore the topics deeper. We also share an interest in the necessity for much more female leadership in the broader community, but perhaps more on that another time.
Sorry…but didn’t you say your dear spouse was deceased? My apologies if this isn’t so.
That was a different writer.
Ronae, I believe the writer refers to that in his article, ‘We Never Called It A FLR …’
I’m pleased to report my Goddess is very much alive, vibrant and beautiful and enjoying the devotion of her two attentive boys.
