Be Easy With Your Love This Year
As the year comes to a close many of us will sit back and take stock of where we are in life. The pessimists among us will take note of what we have NOT achieved or experienced.
I won’t preach or beg you to change your perspective because I know what it feels like to believe that life is missing something so important and maybe that thing will be the key to satisfaction. I used to believe that myself.
Because of that belief I was always angry with myself, feeling like somehow I wasn’t good enough or worthy to experience the simple pleasures in life that it seemed that everyone else had already experienced.
This mentality plagued me for years. I was that sad lady who was always the victim of life until one day, in the midst of achieving some of my most brilliant dreams, I realized one truth that set me free.
Life is not a test.
There is no set syllabus. There is no final exam. There is no instructor waiting to label you and tell everyone how to view you.
Life is not a test.
It doesn’t really matter what grades you get or how many people clap for you; what matters is how much fun you had.
There is a chance that I will be single forever and I’m okay with that only because my life is full of other things that I find fulfilling. My passions aren’t a substitute for love. I sincerely do not yearn for anything at all right now, just more of the same experiences that I have each day.
My life is great. And no, I don’t have a big house, fancy wedding ring or a lover to cater to me.
If I believed that life was a test, I would say that I am failing. Since I know that life is not a test, I say that I am winning because I am having a hell of a good time every single day!
Release the pressure you are holding over your own life.
Let go of the demands that you must achieve [insert seemingly impossible hope here].
Detach yourself from the desires you have. Understand that with or without them, you will still be fine.
This tactic is so important when thinking about attracting love. Not because of the  old silly saying- You’ll find it when you least expect it. No, it’s not that.
Learning to be okay with NOT having the love (or other desires) you want helps you to attract love because when you have a strong desire for love and you can’t be happy until you experience it you tend to send out a needy and desperate vibe.
If you are supposed to be a dominant or Powerful Goddess, you can’t be desperate. The men you meet will feel that disgusting energy and think you are a fraud.
If you are supposed to be a Submissive Gentleman, it’s not a good idea to look for a woman to give you what you need. You’re supposed to offer something of value to the woman you will spend your life with. How can you add to her life when you’re full of doubt and desperate to be attached to anyone who will give you a chance?
Go easy on yourself this year.
Laugh more.
Make more mistakes.
Ask people out even if it scares you.
Say how you feel. Call the person you care about and say the corny things you usually feel too embarrassed to say.
You can’t get it wrong.
You won’t hurt your chances of love forever.
You always get another chance to smile again.
You can’t be rejected by the person who is a great match for you.
In the meantime, have as much fun as you can, make a few new friends and be easy on yourself. Give as much love away as you can. Your today does not define you. Your relationship status doesn’t either. You decide who you are. You decide which labels you carry.
You’re okay.
You’re doing just fine.
You have plenty of time left to have wonderful experiences.
Keep going.
You won’t run out of time.
Everything is going to work out just fine.
That is an awesome post really makes you think.. Thank you R R
Very good advice and leadership from a woman who I think is way ahead of her time. Thank you!!!
Good sound advice for us as well. We all want our lives to be fulfilling, rewarding and to matter. I just love a dominant woman to help me gain the best this life as to offer.
